We are informed that theSewanee Mining Com pany have commenced laying down the iron on their road from the Nashville and Chattanooga road to their coal mines, and will have the road completed so as to commence the delivery of coal at Nash- .villo by the 25th of January. The Company would have had the road completed by thia time, But for the appearance of cholera among their la borers last summer, which delayed their operations one mouth. The equipments of the road are all purchased, and an immense amount of coal i3 mined, and ready for transportation when the iron is laid on the road. The contracts of the company for the delivery of coal extend from the mines both ways, to Nashville and Chattanooga. The coal is of the best quality, and it will be sold...

Refering to the acts of the last session, it will be seen that the " act to establish a State Agricultural Bureau,' provides an easy and simple mode of or ganization. To obtain a charter, it only requires ten or more persons to associate themselves together, "by written articles of association," "specifying the objects of said society. Each society, after rais ing a capital of three hundred dollars and placing it at interest, is entitled to fifty dollars annually from the State Treasury, to be appropriated in such manner a3 the society may deem best for the encouragement of agriculture in the county.
