The election last Monday at Jenner -ette for municipal officers resulted in *electing Mr. G. Stiges as mayor. It is reported that the British gov ernrnent, acting on information from secret agents, has sent a cutter to Car rigaholt, Ireland, to watch for the arrival of an American vessel with a cargo of arms and explosives. The Police Jury at its last meeting appointed a committee of three, comi posell of Messrs. W. L. Vanslvke, J. T. Broussard and T. J.
