GREENSBOROUGH. (FROM A CORRESPONDENT.) A concert was held in the old school house, Greensborough, on Monday the 14th inst., in aid of the Church of Eng- land organ fund, the house being crowded with an orderly and apprecia tive audience. Mr. Tanner occupying the chair, who opened the proceedings, saying he did not intend to occupy their time in making a speech, but in a few well-chosen remarks stated the object for which the concert wad got up. The programme was opened by Miss Colquo horm and Mr. Buraton playing an overture, " Little hunch of roses," on the piano and violin; followed by a song, "The Englishman," lung by Mlr. Bureton'; 'after which Mr. Tanner caused much amusement by reading "The Frenchman and the Fly ;" Mrs. Almond and Mr. J. Starling than sang a duet, "Larboard Watch;" and Miss M. SINGULAR CASESOP MURDER. The following Mail News we clip frnom last Tuesday's Age, July 29th: : "Two painful cases of murder have just been heard in Coernowita. In one 'ca-e a gipsy named Onafri had, from nintives of professional jealousy, killed his own brother with a hammer. He was found' guilty and sentenced to be ' hanged. In the other casetwodaughters had strangled their aged father. The women were Iwona Berliak, aged 28 :years, and her sister Anna, aged 30, the latter being married to Andril Bentko, a man 84 years of age. Anna was married about six years ago to Bemko, but received no dowry. After the death of his wife Berlisk took to drinking, and still refused to give a :dowry to his daughter,. A DRUNKEN MAN DEVOURED BY PIGS. BRISBANE, Tuesday. A man named: Cornelius O'Donnell died yesterdat under very shocking circumstances. He visited the hotel at Greenmere, near Rockhampton, on Sunday, and had two drinks there be-   ween eleven and twelve o'clock in the morning. Going along the passage afterwards, he fell to the ground and lay there till three o'clock in the after- noon. It was then discovered that the pigs had been eating his flesh, and that he was severely injured in the obdomen and lower parts of the body. An inquest will be held today. - Age.
