MINING. [Newspaper Article] — The Wyalong Star and Temora and Barmedman Advertiser — 18 January 1895

MINING. The crushing from Collina and ' party's Rybiick -claim, on Conway's liop,xvh-nin;d tip at Go ngh's No. 2. battery, yielded— 'for 57 tons lewt— j 345nz of amalgam, which realised a retorted return of '2--z Idwt. per ton. Cliannou'a battery has cleaned 'up 1.56 tons of stone from Chappie and party's northern tribnte shaft, on Neeld's No. 1 claim, tor a return of G7»z. 8dwt. 13grs., or an average of nearly 8dwta.-'l3^rs. per ton. . Theee is enough - stone here to build a mndei-n Puninei! mid erpn tliisi pn. /?ure, thcugh scarcely up to Wyalong averages, should pay wages and a bit over, for some time. The buttery, lias now started on a big lot of 250 tons from the White Reef, which -is confidently expected to yield as high a return as any large parcel yet crushed.
