DIED. At Rockingham, Cape Bridgewater, on Satur day 1st inst. Martha Elvin the beloved wife of Capt A T Farley late commander of the &nbsp; brig Panama, of this port after a long and painful illness. DIED On Monday morning, 10th July, at his residence, Julia-street, Portland &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; Thomas Atherton, aged 51. &nbsp; The Funeral will take place on Wednesday next, at 2 o'clock; friends are request ed to accept this invitation to the same.

Agricultural Society of Ireland, 1Mr. HIirkness said- Some diys ago I went out to Lakefield farm.to see Mr. L:ttlcboy, the intelligent land stewurd of Counsellor Fitzgibbon. I hud some conversation with him as to the effect and expense of distributing lii quid manure. lHe has furnished inc with his calculations, which I shall now read: ".ln calculating the cost per acre for wated ig our iaigold drills, I find that one man and horse, with boy assisting, ycere able to water a t ace in about three hours, on th the top o the drills 12f54 gall ous par i:cre. Our liqluid cart holda about o209 gallons. The wheols are drawn along the alleys, and four drills are watered at a timu.
