POLICE COUllT. Friday, April 10, 1037. (Before Win. Gtmnt, Esq., J.P.) ll.LKRAI, DUTKNTION 01' 000ns. Hopkin Davis, late of the JSagle hotel, Woolshed, appeared to answer the complaint of Rosa Conlmi anil J;mc .Smith, formerly in his employ, fur il legally detaining their boxes. It ap peared that the defendant, when he en gaged the girls in Melbourne, took charge of their boxes, and left them with McCowcn and Co, forwarding agents, to be sent on to Beeohworth. The boxes had never been sent, and the defendant requested time to com municate with M cCowen and Co, The Bench ordered the restoration of the boxes within fourteen days. A IHSOUDKBLV UUSUANO. Hush Furry, miner, Chinaman's Flat, was ordered to enter into his own recognisances for his better behaviour towards his wife. tAllCKNY. John Holmes, shoemaker,was charged with stealing a bottle of old torn from thebar/of the Alma hotel, Two-mile Creek. " Remanded on bail till Monday next.
