ARIZONA, OCTOBER 23, 1913 No. 8 . , BOOTLEGGING JOINT AT HOLBROOK RAIDED i The saloon and billard hall, of Jud Lathrop, , at Holbrook, was Raided last Monday s by Sheriff Joe Wood and deputies by an order of the court and a search warrant, and quite a large quan tity of liquors were confiscated by the officers. During- the raid and, search of the premises, the officers discov ered a locked up room, in which quite a supply of "booze" was stored, and at this point in the proceedings, Lathrop forbid Sheriff Wood from entering the raom or disturbing its contents, and shaking the key in the offi cers' faces said; "I'd like to see you get in there; those liquors belong to me and are paid for, and I'd dike to see any one take them.' While the doctor is not the regularly appointed health officer, he is doing all 'in his power along that line One of the fine draft horses belonging to Epimenio Armi jo got in the bog a few days ago and, while he was helped out as soon as possible, he appears so far disabled that he cannot stand.
