Current Notes. [Newspaper Article] — The North Queensland Register — 31 August 1892

TBX JUTBNIS STUANGE it is hour men will some times fall into inaccuracies in the use of their own language. Dr. Cuthbert, surgeon of the BavenBwood hospital, advertises off ring £1 mwrd%r such information as will lead to the conviction of the person w ho misappro priated a bottle of brandy from the hospital on the night of the 16ih. That the brandy was appropriated there can be no doubt, but how could the medico undertake to say that it was misappropriated? From a personal knowledge of the inhabitants of Ravens wood, I feel perfectly certain that the same liquor, provided it was of even fairly good quality, far from being misappropriated, was at once put to the legitimate use of all liqnor, namely drunk. If the good doctor thinks that ail liquor is misappropriated that is i ot used in caseB of sickness, and by order of one's medical adviser, I fear he will find but few North Queenslanders to agree with him oateije the ranks of the LO.G. f. and kindred societies. * # # # TELIi me not...
