AN OMISSION. We consider that the: report of ' the committee of the Musical and Literary Association was Incomplete without some reference to the work dono by Mr. H. . H. Shepherd, . as stage' mana ger. It was, undoubtedly, mainly duo to the excellent management of this gentleman, and the methods adopted by him, that the' whole of the arrange ments 'behind the scenes' during tha 1 different sessions were carried out, 1 without a hitch, and that the time. 1 table was' so splendidly adhered to. There were other, officials who did their , part creditably, but, when so much depends on- a man, and he car ribs out his duties — which were of a thankless character— so faithfully, he is worthy of mention in the official record.
