SUNBURY CEMETERY. The annual meeting of the trustees of the above Cemetery was held at the Mechanics' Institute on Monday after- noon. Present: Mr Clarkson (in the chair), Mr J. T. Johnston, Mr P. Eadie, and Mr M. McMahon (secretary). BALANCE SHEET. The secretary read the balance sheet, which was adopted. The receipts, which included a credit balance brought forward of £107 3s 8d ; Graves, £53 13s; other sources, £15 10s 6d, were set down at £176 13s 2d, and the expenditure at £79 10s 10d, leaving a credit balance of £97 2s 4d. A vote of thanks was passed to the auditors. TENDERS. Two tenders were received for the erection of a fence to enclose the cottage at the Cemetery. Mr Beardall was the successful tenderer at £23, the other tender being £23 17s 9d. GENERAL BUSINESS. It was decided to call for tenders for the position of caretaker for the Ceme- tery. The trustees will meet again in a fortnight.

DIGGER'S REST ANNUAL PICNIC.     [FROM OUR OWN CORRESPONDENT.   Friday, Jan 19th.     Wednsday last was quite a gala day   here, the event being the celebration of the third annual picnic in connection with the Digger's Rest State School,   which proved a decided success, every-   thing passing off as smoothly as the pro- verbial marriage bell. The site selected   was the same as last year, on the pro-   perty of Mr W. Bowie, of the Eighuane   vineyard, abutting on Jackson's creek, which was kindly lent for the occasion by   that gentleman.
