Ilassett, tliu popular licensee of tliu Empire Hotel, Chilteru, tlie sad event occurring about two o'clock yesterday after noon at. the private hospital of Mrs Moffat, Conncss-strect. The deceased lady had heen ill for a. little over a fortnight, suffering from a cold, but serious symptoms did nol manifest themselves until Sunday when she was taken from the hotel to the hospital. Unremitting care and at tention was bestowed upon the patient by l)r llarkin and the nurse and all that human skill could do was brought, into requisition to save her life. On Wednesday Dr Hush was summoned to act in consultation with Dr llarkin, and it. was known on that day that her life was des paired of.
