ANZAC DAY SERVICES. An Anzac Day service wsb held in the Murray Bridge Institute Hall on Sunday afternoon, April 24, when the residents attended in large numbers to pay respect to the fallen, and to those who, more fortunate, returned. At 2.30 p.m. members of the Fathers' Association, Returned Soldiers' Asso ciation, and Boy Scouts assembled at Diamond Park and, headed by the town band, marched in procession to the Institute Hall. The Rev, E. T. Pryor (Methodist) presided, and was supported by Rev. W. A. Terry (Anglican-, Pastor Arnold (Church of Christ) and Commandant Gooch (Sal vation Army. The address was delivered by Pastor Arnold who based his remarks on "Memories of Anzac.' MOUNT PLEASANT DISTRICT HOSPITAL EFFORT. The fete In aid of the local hospital was "held on Monday, 25th (Anzac Day), the weather for this time of the year being moat favourable for the outdoor events. The Agricultural Hal! and grounds were kindly lent for the day, luncheon and tea being laid out in the large ball, also a large jumble stall containing work, produce, cake, sweets, and a kiddies' corner, all of which did good business through out the day. A program of outdoor events were arranged and were car ried out by (be young men of the dis trict. The members of the Wo men's Club arranged, to take charge of the domestic part of the .work, and were assisted by a large staff of wil ling workers. Mesdames Fortes and Hicks and helpers undertook the ar rangements tor luncheon and teas, and the work, plain and fancy, on the stall, was under the charge of Mes dames Maitiand, Wells man, and assis tants.
