At the meeting of the Special Com mission io-day, Pigott ga»® detailed evi dence of his - interviews with Messrs Davies, Parnell -and Laboachere. The evidence has caused agreat sensa* tion. Tbe witness confirmed the statement made by Houston to the effect that Mr Laboachere bad offered him fPigott} £1,000 to swear that the letters, one of which was published by the Times bearing Mr Parnell's signature, were forgeries. Be stated that he purchased aix of Mr Farneil's and Ave of Egan's letters from a man named Marphy, a cempoaitor in the office of the Irishman newspaper. Sir Chas. Russell, the counsel for Mr Parnell, produced some letters which were written by Pigott to Archbishop Walsh of Dublin, just before the ^Times published the fac simile of Mr Parneli's letter. Moore, who has taken charge. of the above property - 441 arrivedontbe mine on Wednesday. Am very pleased with the property. Consider the lode a splendid one, and it bears oat -all the statements that hare been made concerning it. Should judge from ap pearances that the ore will go fully 35 per cent for fine copper. The outcrop run ning through the eeetion shows a very strong lode> Will report mose fully at an early date.

POLICE COURTS. Kadina, Wednesday, Feb. 20, 1889. (Before same Bench.} M. Jfanker visy Jan., was charged on tbe information of L.C. Bennett, under the Licensed "Victuallers Act, with unlawfully supplying two bottles of beer to John Bodinar, on the evening of Saturday, 10th November, 1888, after 11 o'clock. Mr Uffindell appeared for the defendant.' L.C. Bennett applied to be allowed to amend tbe information by patting the defendants' name " Henry Kankervis" before the words " on his licensed premises." Alteration allowed. Mr UfiindeU took the same formal objection in this case that he did is the former infor mation. L.C. Bennett-Produced notice served on defendant to produce bis license.
