A. L. Leo will be presented ns the candi date of the Northern Tier for the United States Senate. At this time, it is necessary to say but little more than the foregoing. Gan. Lee bas returned to make his permanent home here ; he has talent inferior to no other candidate for the Senate ; he is and has been a thoroughly Radical Republican ; and his distinguished services in the Geld have shed renown upon the name of Kansas. The following is tho bill to equalize the. bounties of soldiers and sailors wbo served iri the Iate'war against the Slave holder's Rebellion, as it finally passed both Houses of Congress: Sec. 1. Be it enacted, d-e.. That to each and every soldier who enlisted into the army of the United States after the 19th day of April, 1861, for a period of not less than three years, and hiving eerved his term of enlistment, 'has been honorably discharged, and who hag re ceived, or is entitled to receive from the United Stalei, under existing laws, a bounty of 8100, and no' more; and any Bnch soldier enlisted for not less than three years who ha.beqn honorably-discharged' on account rf wounds received in tlmlino of dnty.andthe. widow, miuor children, or 'parents,- in the order named, of any such soldier who died in, tho service of the United States, or of disease or wounds contracted while in the line of duty, shall be paid the additional bonnty of 8100 hereby auth...
