TIESDAY EVENING, JULY 10, 1H72. Herpimi liiildreu Bu«r. These restless little mortals are quiet only wlien they are asleep, antl often not even then, for in dreams they arc playing croquet, or galloping on horseback, or fondling their dolls. They need playthings just as much as they require bread and milk, and shoes and clothes. Many parents, thinking they cannot afford time or money lo provide amusement and occupation for their little ones, leave them to shift for themselves, and hunt up their own toys. So Johnnie gets into mamma's bureau or closet, and enjoys the muss ho makes there more than he sorrows over the punishment that follows it. As ho grows older, jack knife and foot rule, hammer and saw, gim let and draw knife, screw driver and pinch ers, will be in requisition to make his bows and arrows, his ships antl carts. Some weeks since we took occasion to refer at length to the unanswerable logic of this address, and gave copious extracts from it; but we think it due to tho people of the State and tho nation that it should have Ihe broadest possible circu lation.
