The funeral of the late Dr. Maokey took place yesterday afte. noon upon the arrival of the Cotton Bolt trn'n from (iutepville. The Maaons and Odd Fellowo met the funeral party at the depot and con ducted the remains to the Fifth Street Methodist church, of which Dr. Mackey was for four years pas tor, and there appropriate services for the dead wire held according to the practice of the Methodist de nomination. JV. II, 0. Arm strong, the presiding eldor of the district, Ruv. II. M. Whaling, the pastor of Fifth Street church, Dr. K. C. Burleson, president of Bay lor I'niversity, ai.d other prominent ministers assisted in the strvice, which wah conducted by Dr. W. G. Connor.
