HIS HONOWS HONOR IS NOT TO BE QUESTIONED Attorney Wanted to Know Why the Jury Had Left Lennox's Punishment to the Judge-Both Martin and Lennox Are to Be Brought Into Court for Sentence Next Saturday-Will Ascertain. There was an aftermath of the Lennox murder trial in Judge McClcrnan's court this morning when Attorney J. Bruce Kremer stepped forward with his persua sive smile as the reading of the minutes ended and made a suggestion-a sugges tion not entirely relished by the court, who has established a reputation for ac curate rulings which has not as yet been unsettled or reversed by the supreme Court. WILL REMAIN IN BUTTE PENDING A NEW TRIAL Something of the Case on Which Juries Have Failed to Agree-Wine-Hued Bovine Was Missing and Suspicion Fastened Itself on McDonald-Was Then Accused of Horsestealing. George A. McDonald, who was convicted and sentenced to state prison for a year for stealing horses, will be brought back from the penitentiary tonight by Sheriff Furry to take up his old quarters in the county jail. The return of McDonald is in obedience to an. order of the supreme court. Attorney B. F. Thresher, counsel for McDonald, made a fight for the return of McDonald to the county bastile, in the district court at Deer Lodge, but failed to secure the order for his removal from that court. lie then applied to the su preme court, and yesterday the applica tion was granted. [SPECIAL TO INTER MOUNTAIN.] Anaconda, July 22.-Last Sunday a party of Anaconda gentlemen made the trip to Wvhat are known as the Mill Creek lakes,, and it is a very difficult trip, indeed, but they felt repaid after they had completed it. In making this trip the regular road is followed to the old sawmill on Mill creek, About nine miles from Anaconda; from there there is a road leading up to an old cabin on the mountain side, which is a distance of about four miles.
