It teacher the lesson that had the Democratic party, as a unit, moved with more life in the conduct of the campaign, we would have rolled up a nice majority. A large per cent, of the merchants, teachers, farmers and mechanics of the county are Democrats, and are capable of exerting a very wide influence.
