The "full rendi tion" law has been on the statutes for a long time, but the enforcement of that law has been rather slack. The last legislature passed a more stringent oath which the assessor and commissioners must take regard- ing the rendition and from that, all this talk about higher taxes has fol- lowed. There is a cry that the taxes will be largely increased over last year, that some counties have not made a fair rendition and that the burden will be great on those coun- ties where the law has been kept.
