OU1l O,1EO LErr'EII. (FnoM oUn owN COIniREPONDENT.) Monday, Sept. 4. In a previous letter I called attention to lhe probably dangerous position of MIr. Dale and party at the Mount Pilot tin nino, through tlhe heavy fall of snow. I am happy to say, through thle commond ablo action of Senior-constable Sharpo, all doubts on the matter are now set at rest. Constablo Halliday, after considerable dim culty, reached the camp and found the p~arty all right, but they had been without meat for about three weeks. There was three feet of snow at the mline at the time of Ialliday's visit, and the men had been afraid to attempt the trip to the settle. ineonts. The police deserve great credit for their promipt action in this matter. On Saturday night a meeting df thaOmeio Race Club was hold at Chittondon's Golden ABge hotel, MIr. T. Easton in the ahair. The. meeting had boon'called to consider the ad visability of oreooting a grandstand and ef foeting other imnprovomeonts to the course. Tlid chair...
