Fadden is all right a good fellows go. His stock of 'anecdotes is probably unequalled by any. Paoliamentarlan in the English-speaking world' (and Frencih, and German and Russian, too, probably), but the ability to tell a' story for tha entertsiinnient of the "boys" is hardly suflicient quallfication for the post of Treasurer. Of course, we know that he is ma accountant, and all that, but the fact riemains that as Treasurer he would be a tragedy. It Won't Be Long Now ! [Newspaper Article] — Frankston Standard — 15 December 1949

It Won't Be Long Now! A skeleton staff will be busy at the Head Office and Printing establishment of Standard News papers Pty. Ltd. during the Christmas-New - Year . holiday, moving portion of the plant and equipment into the new section of the building, which is now nearing completion. It is a possibility that the ad ministrative section of the com pany will be functioning in the beautiful new modern offices on January 9; if not on that date, then very soon afterwards. The offices are the last word in de sign, and the Master Builder, Mr. R. H. McDonald, and his excel lent team of workers have done a splendid job. When the whole building scheme is finished - probably about March of next year - the Head Office and Printing Works of this company will be one the show places of the district.
