We have received no particulars from the secretary, cf the results of the Gymkhana held on Saturday last, and are not in a position to furnish details of the result. On I)it : A meeting (not public, but . publican) was held on Monday evening last when the un-lieensed victuallers of Ren mark formally de cided not to sell beer for less than 1/3 per bottle. It won't pay 111 The several tenders for the town pump, boiler, etc., in the bands of tbe Conservator of Water are now practi cally finished and will in all pro bability be sent up by the next steamer. . We are glad to report that tbe Rev. T. B. Logie, whose severe illness has caused so much anxiety, is better and that we may look forward to his re appearance in our midst before long. THE BEdBNT 8HEEP CASE. Sir.—A considerable number of people in Renmark, as well as myself have taken a great interest in this case and were keenly looking forward to ihe result of the froard of Arbitration, which was to have bteea held last Fri day, Jan. 29th. Now what was the result? After Messrs. Sinclair Bros, proposing this arbitration ' and after bringing three prominent gentlemen away from their work, (6nfc, Mr. Robertson, having driven up;all the way from Caiperimi) for the purpose of acting as arbitrators. Mr. Sinclair I from the commencement tried ail be knew to back but of it; In the first place, notwithstanding Messrs. Hall and Ogilvy producing the receipt for £7 paid by them, Mr. Sinclair refused to arbitrate unless £5 was the amount named, rather than let Mr. Sinclair creep out of it iu this manner, Messrs.
