THE REASON WHY DR. SHEL- DON'S DIGESTIVE TABULES CURE INDIGESTION, DÏSPEP , SIA, AND ALL STOMACH TROU- BLES, ' [ Is that they actually contain ¿ll of' the natural digestants as found ii: a healtliy stomach., .Unlike many so-càlled indigestion cures, these tabules are neither laxative '? or these tabules are neither laxative or cathartic, and dô not act upon the bowels in any way for in indigestion or dyspepsia tho whole trouble is thc stomach and not the bowels. Mo one ever suffered from indigestion or dy- spepsia whose stomach was in a healthy, condition. When the stomach is out of order, do not go without food or irritate your stomach ' with cathartics, but take some natural di gestant which will digest what you eat, thus assisting the stomach to re gain its normal bcalth and vigor. Dr. Sheldon's Digestive Tabunles is thu only preparation which contains all the known digestants, and which will digest all kinds of food. UÍ-TB-DÁTB STORIES, FOB. LOCAL READERS, - A Game* that Failed. Stalling as a gentleman, by force of cir- cumstances a jack of all trades, by profea< sion a raconteur 1 Such was my record when I arrived in--, whither the fame of my stories had preceded me. Almost directly I received a letter from Herbert Falkner, squatting magnate, social lion, and otherwise known for his fine stables and general hospitality, requesting me to do him the honor of a visit to his place. My intitial appearance before Mr. Falk- ner's guests was to be at dinner, and I spent the last moments before leaving my room in reading over thc list of topics I had jotted down for usc during the evening. A racon- teur is expected to fill in every lull, every dull moment. Suddenly there fell upon the quiet of my room these words : " We must'ran it up to a thousand to- < nicht! Do you bear ? We must." - I stared aroand the room. It seemed as if the sound hod come through some tapestry in a small re...
