As You Like It. [Newspaper Article] — The Bega Budget — 14 April 1906

As You Like It. 'I must hnve liberty Withal as largo a charier as tho wind. To blow on whom I please.' —'As you Uke It.' (Aot II, sc. 7.) The friends and supporters of Mr. E. W. ^Sullivan, M.L.A,, re cently held a meeting to organise a testimonal to him 'in recognition of his long and honorable career.' If this' means that 'Sully,' like. Iliunu uuii mjitni^ij jo -in iwiuuuiut straits, then the 'Budget' admires tho action of his 'friends and sup porters.' Perhaps there is no man in the public life of this State who has piloted nioro men into public bilfcts than tho Owe-Sulliyan, and these at leaBt should 'do it hand some,' and help their benefactor. But if the testimonial is moro par ticularly intended as a recognition of Mr. O'Sullivan's '-long and honorable career' then this paper (although it doesn't personally know the gentleman,) almost fools constrained to subscribe to the fund, for it feels that just now, more than ever, anything in tho shape of a politican's 'long and honorab...
