IK a few days, Kellogg, the Republi can senator from Lousiana, will be turn­ ed out, and Spofford seated in his place, toy a strict party vote. Of such action there is no longer doubt. THE Cincinnati Commercial will sup port Blaine for President, notwithstand­ ing it would bare bolted bis nomination lour years ago. The Commercial bolted Grant in 1872, and will bolt him again in 1880 if nominated. THE Pioneer-Press considers Sherman tbe fittest candidate for President before the people, but abandons him because his nomination cannot be brought about favors Blaine because he is the only man who can beat Grant.
