BEAUTIFUL BUDERM. 2nd Annual Show. FRUIT EXHIBIT A PROMINENT FEATURE. The second Annuil Show, held under the auspices of Uic Buderim Progress Association, tooi place on last Friday and Saturday. The first day was given over chiefly to adding the final touches of preparation, acd the first of the iudgins which was completed on the second day by about noon. The show ground !s situated on one of the highest points of the Mountain, on land which belonged to Mr. G. 0. Burnett, who. In order to provide a smiaDie recreauon jrround. permitted an exchange to be effected provided that a similar area of Crown land was allowed him. Very shortly it is hoped to finalise the scheme, which will then enable the ground to be vested in trustees, and permanent buildings erected, perhaps, for next show. There are between six and seven acres in the area, and it in cludes a large portion of -very level innd which will be most adaptable for sports and various recreative games. Worthington's paddock on Saturday resulted in an easy win for tiie local team by 7 goals to nil. De spite the fact that several of lhe- home teams. crack players were absent, tht team on the whole, showed the same overwhelming superiority over their opponents- as has characterised their other matches this season. Football. The Yandina rugby league 13 de feated Woombye in the North Coast A grade fixtures at the latter place on Saturday by 7 points to 5. The game played In a good sporting spirit was very evenly contested. For the winners K. Warland scored a try and H. Marsh kicked two penalty goals while for the losers J. Howe also scor ed a try and R. Pringie kicked a pen alty goal. Mr. Stallard, of Gympie, who refereed the game, gave every satisfaction, as did H. Wyatt and J.. Bong who officiated as line umpires. The B-grade North Coast flxture Pomona versus Yandina played on tlie | local reserve resulted in an easy win j for the visitors by 31 points to nil. ?This game which was played In a good spirit proved much more attrac- ) tive than the scores indicate.
