SEWERAGE BEGUN:.AT GUILDFORD Work has commenced on an exthr,-ive" sewerage scheme at Guildford, which will provide facilities for hundreds of homes in the area. The project, recently under taken by the Metropolitan Water Board, is known as Area.2, Duck Creek, and will eventually link up with a' complete sewerage scheme, proposed for the dis trict. Holroyd Council has carried, a resolution, praising - the Dis trict Member of the Board, Aid. G. E. Maunder, for his efforts in the matter. Alderman Maunder, for many years, or. behalf of Council urg ed the Board to provide sewer age facilities for the reside'nts of Guildford.

GLAD to record that'Cumber land Newspapers' 'prentice printer, 17-years-old John Iss itt, injured when he slipped on a rock at Collaroy Beach recenitly, is back home at Gran ville, and doing fine. Parramatta junior cricketers and soccer fans, especially, were shocked at the report from hospital that Johnny had frac tured his spine. Happily, the damage was not nearly so serious, and the lad should be fit and well again within a month or so.
