(To the Editor of the Grenfell Record.) [Newspaper Article] — The Grenfell Record and Lachlan District Advertiser — 23 August 1879

(To the Editor of the Grenfell Record.) . ? Sir,— In a prodiiction signed 'G. H. Flannery,' which appears in, your last week's issue, my attention is directed 'to an effort to drag me into the lamentable school bintention. The writer, referring to the proceedings at a recent nieeting of the local Board, states, that I assisted in the carrying of a resolution expressive of approval or tne manner m.-wnicn ivir. Murray had acted. This is utterly untrue. ?,, I distinctly stated at the meeting that, not ihaving been present at either examination or enquiry, and knowing but little of the conduct of those engagements, I could not consistently record a vote, and therefore declined to take any' part whatever- in .the pissing of the resolution.. Mr. Flaniiery's unfounded .assertion is followed by a threat . :which I, ho'Vever, deem of too childish arid cbntemptible'anaturfi t.6;notice. ? ?'; :.''- ;;.' ?'?'.'.;?? . j. p. olson.
