THE REV. MR. BINNEY ON AUSTRALIA. On the evening of October 23, the jubilee of the Newcastle Religious Tract Society was held, in the New Town-hall, Glasgow, Mr. R. B. Sanderson in the chair. The Rev. T. Binney was present, and delivered an address. After some preliminary remarks, in the course of which he referred in an amusing vein to " the applications that came rolling into him from all parts of the kingdom, as soon as he arrived in England, asking him to go everywhere to give a lecture about Aus tralia," Mr. Binney said: When he was going across the sea to Aus tralia, he had a large number of tracts with him, a number of packages of narrative series, &c., and on a Sunday morning, as they had a large number of emigrants on board, they used to give out these tracts.
