There were also present Messrs Cunningham, Halle, Armstrong, Adams, Ularke, Elworthy, Dr Watt and the secretary, Mr J. F. Willans. A large amount of correspondence was received, including letters from J. L. Thomp son (Government Agricultural Klcpert), asking for particulars of any. varieties of wheat yioldinfr. above the average quantity, and whether deep cultivation had beon of material assistance in securing better results. Lynam, J. Whifock, P. Kelly, J. Ptothero. T. J. Murphy, C. E. Tydetreu, T. Tresilian. R. H. Lenon, and the Secretary, .Mr T. Watson. CRICKETERS' SPORTS. The following are the results of the sports held last week by the Mechanics' Cricket Club. The results were a financial success, the Club beuefitting to the extent of about £7. The Club sold the gate right to Mr F. A. Smith for £5, and did a good business with a ' spinning jenny.'
