MILK. [Newspaper Article] — Bowral Free Press and Berrima District Intelligencer — 30 May 1885

, mil jr. The analyst of milk has exceptional diflicuU tios. to- contend with ; he is riot allowed in jridge of quality, but only of pim'ty. Milk vmicS' exceedingly in-quality, even thongli pure—that if; to say, one cow's rhilk in ay contain, even as drawn, much more wntet than another cow's milk.'- Co1iKequenl.lv.tl10 better cow's milk may be watered down to the standard of the inferior cow's tnilk, and yet it w impossible for the chemist to say tha>t what is submitted to hint may not have : been drawn from a.' cow • of poor quality without any actual addition of water. BUNDANOON. [Newspaper Article] — Bowral Free Press and Berrima District Intelligencer — 30 May 1885

We have been enjoying really beautiful weather duv ngfche past week or two. Queen's Birthday was a particularly lovely day, and as there was no othar attraction quite a largo number of B;md;inoori folk rolled up to see the match of the season " Our Boys" v. Moss Vale. It was quite a disappointment 'o some who had expected to see a clone and OKoiUiig game, the Moss Valers only scoring 30 runs. The fast bowling of Milne and Nesbitfc appeared to com pletely nonplus some of the best bats. For " Ouv Boys" J. O'Neil 37, Milne 83, and lVRosh 9 showed the best play. The " veteran" Phill, although o^tly scoring 9 runs played a grandly and defensive game for.over an hour. The Moss Vale "attribute their crushing defeat to the bad wicket, but the fast re mains that" Our Boys" went to the creases iam.i3& iately after and put up 1(50 runs. On Monday night the local Good Templars had a social gathering which, was well attended, and a very ■ enjoyable evening was spent. . ^ TheEingwood Coal...
