Extra Session.—'fnc members of tho Legislature of 1857 are fortunate fellows. Gov. Pollock gives them another chance at the Treasury which they will not let slip. Mileage;—so " much a day ; and they can vote themselves §500 for a session of six days. _. Thus a great expense is caused to. the Commonwealth, when our people are suffering from hard times and a severe panic in money matters. The session cannot cost less than $30,000 and may cost much more.
