There is a strip of country out this way that lays north and south that the wind has been blowing over, and as a rule it blows froin the south toward north, and then it would turn some where in the north, and here it would come back hs cold as kraut, it culminated with a big frost last Saturday night, that bit and killed jots of things, some of the cotton will have to be planted over in this section. There is one mysterious thing about the matter, 1 notice that the corn was bit down in spots, some places a stalk would be kill- ed, and one that stood by the sitie of it, was not hurt, it looked as fresh as if there had been no frost.
