But others are going to go up — and (op- ping the "going Mike up" list is health Byers care. Well before ^ft;u retire, make sure you've got the ^resources necessary to deal with those doctor's visits and prescrip- tion drugs. How expensive will health care be for you during your retirement years? Here's a number to consider: A 65-year-old couple retiring today will need, on average, $200,000 set aside to pay for medical costs in retirement, according to a reccnt study by Fidelity Investments. And this number doesn't even include the cost of over-the-counter medi- cines, most dental procedures and, most importantly, long-term care (such as in-home health care or an e...

2 - Section B - THE SACHSE NEWS - Thursday, July 27,2006 fliHHMI Sports Opinion Barry Bonds witch hunt continues S Greg Ford o Barry Bonds didn't get indicted for perjury or tax ' evasion. At least not yet. Obviously, with all the evidence and testimony prosecutors have col- lected, they still couldn't get an indictment in a nation where charg- ing a bologna sandwich with a crime is easy. You have to wonder how many holes in their case would have exposed had an indictment been handed down. However, a ?===== new grand jury is conven- ing, and the fishing expedi- tion to pin Bonds with something ... anything ... continues. Look, I admit it. Barry =^====^= Bonds is a self-centered jerk - that may be his best point - but being one isn't a crime. More and more, 1 believe, that's why prosecutors are continuing their pursuit. It's not about solving the steroid problem in baseball. Rather it's about getting an egotistical superstar any way you can. One almost gets the impression we're watch...

A lower water level can increase catches, because it draws the fish together into a smaller area, said Mike Mclness, an outdoor recre- ation planner with the Army Corps of Engineers and an avid fisherman. "If you can get out there to it, then it can be absolutely phenome- nal," he said. However, he notes, continued extreme temperatures could deplete the oxygen supply, resulting in a fish kill, something Mclness said he has seen a couple of times in Mississippi. "I have never seen it over here, but I don't doubt the fish could get stressed if the heat continues," he said. While the public ramps have been closed, the ramp at Collin Park Marina is open, albeit in a di...
