i, The crowded and enthusiastic meoting held in the Oddfellows' Hall, on Saturday evening last, for the purpose of deciding what steps should be taken to press upon the Government the olaims of Grenfoll to be included in the pro posed bcIihiho of railway extension, demonstrated that the inhabitants of both town and distri ct are fully alive to the importance of not losing more time in asserting their rights, Howev er desirable enthusiasm may be, it is not always an unmixe 1 good ; in faot, there are times when it militates ngainst the object which calls it forth.
