DROMANA. [Newspaper Article] — South Bourke and Mornington Journal — 21 August 1878

DROMANA. (From a Correspondent.) A concert in aid of the Dromana library was held in the State School on Friday the 16th inst, but owing to the unfavorable weather the attendance was comparatively small. Those, however, who did attend were highly gratified. The programme was   large, varied, well selected, and well sus-     tained throughout. Indeed, the songs, duets, and recitations were so well rendered by Mrs. Moore, Mrs. Howarth, Miss Ryan, and Messrs. B. Burnell, W. Mullett, C. Counsel, Howarth, J. Counsel, J. J. Burrell, F. Counsel, and G. R. Daws that further comment is unnecessary. The Secretary, Mr. Howarth, stated that Mr. C. S. Money, whose singing of Rickard's songs in character at the previous concert gave such pleasure, would have been present, but for domestic trouble ; he had, however, for- warded a cheque for £4 4s. in aid of the fund, and as a mark of appreciation of the kind sympathy shown by his Dromana and Flinders friends ...
