COUIIT OP PHITTF SESSIONS, Tuesday, .Tune 30th, 1868. (Before M oasr* It. Ritchie and J. D'Arcy, Magistrates.) One person was charged by the police with being drunk and disorderly. Fined five shilling*. Bate v. Underhill. The defendant had impounded seven of plaimift"k pigs from a grass paddock, and had charged damages as if from a culti vation paddock. Thi se were held by Bate to be excessive. On this point the Impounding Act is defective, and the case was dismissed. Stiles v. Carraher. Trespass on enclosed land, known as Moore's paddock, near Wolutnla. Plaintiff deposed to having seen de fendant in the stockyard of the paddock catching a horse, and also to defendant having ieft down the paddock slip-rails.
