Rbhaiss o>Gbn. Ssuth.—The remains of Gen. P. F. Smith _paseed through this place, on Thursday last, on the Tost Line, accompanied by on escort of twelve: members of the Duquesne Greys, of Pittaburg. The car appropriated by the Company _for the purpose was suitably arranged, being heavily craped on the outside and decorated _wjth a couple of American Flogs on the inside. V Alpua" ' " in Teocbijs_,—We notice in the _lo«t number of the _BUiiraville Record, that our correspondent, " Alpha" has stirred up a hornet's nest about his ears, by the reference he made to the "widows, old maids and marriageable ladies" of _BlairsviUe, in his first letter to the _Tribune, from that place. On_£ j>f the "marriageable ladies" tikes him in hand and draws him over the coals in a pretty rough manner, and promises him a little more of the same sort should he again allude to them. Whether "Alpha" will "dry up" at her command or not, remains to be seen.
