!.:] Balmain Sailing Club. '?A'nicotiiig 'of gentlemen interested in tlio formation of a sailing club in Balmain was held in tho Town Hall lust Monday night. Mr. H. S. Hyam presided. The Chairman in liis opening remarks said it afforded him great plcasuro to occupy the position ho hold that night. Ho considered that iii Balmain there was every opportunity for tho successful carrying out of a club such as they proposed to form, and ho did not seo why Balmain should not have tho premier club of tho harbour. At present tho Balinaih Regatta took the premier position. Ho urged that boat owners .should do all they could to assist tlie club, but thought that tho club should avoid a heavy expenditure in tho erection of a shod, which mistake had been mado by the Sydney C'lub.
