There were over a hundred visitors predient at Loreto Con,'ent on Thurr; day, 10tli inst., at the distribution of prizes..and entertainment giv'er by the pupils. Each item of the programme Ihad a special interest. "The Hours" was a pretty operetta performed by the senior gills of the school. They ac quitted tlhemselves gracefully and cl. verly. Dawn, Noon, Eventide and Night were personified by young ladies whose srcet singing lent a special <-lmrm to their acting. The staging rnd decoration were in perfect ta-tc, the varied colours of the costumes blendling'so as to form an exquisite scene. This was followed by "Tihe Dolls' 'lea-party," which was certainly a pleasant surprise to the visitors.
