Local News in Brief. J. C. Stoughton, who was tlic first Methodist minister cyer lo cated here, died recently at his home in Aurora, III., at the age of eighty. J. A. Darnell left Wednesday morning for Texas to look after sonic property which he owes there that was in the vicinity of the recent disastrous floods. The present indications arc that the fruit trees in this vicinity have come through the winter in very good shape.
