Xot a little excitement has been produced among the farmers by the statement, which has gone the round of the press, that a syndi cate has been formed to control the manufacture and sale of binder twine, and that farmers will have to pay twenty-five cents n pound for all the twine used by them during the coming harvest, ilany farmers have declared tint they will sow no oats, as the prices ob tained for last year's crop did not ratarn the cost of production, and a further increase in the cost would be ruinous. It is claimed that Oklaho ma will havo a population of 100,030 within a month after the lauds are open to settlement The County Treasurer's report shows that the county had on hnnd to its credit the first of April 38,140,51. It is quite probable that no other county in the state can make abetter show ing financially than can Adair. President Harrison will make a mistake i he fails to appoint Hon. E. E. Kimball to the only position ! e has eoupht, and the one he is eminently qualified to fill. Mr Kimball is the unani mous cLoico of the Eepublician party of Missouri, and Mr. Harrison can hardly afford to ignore that fact.
