Veterantroops ours were, except^for such recruits as were scatttered^among us and except for a few en^^thusiastic men that liked to shout,^using ammunition sparingly and not^shooting much unless they thought^they had some sort of chance for hit^^ting something. REAL BOUILLABAISSE. TttmBurnt of Its ChImUw Made Knave^kj u Kl|xrt at Making It. Stnoethe days when Thackeray^tunefully sang the praises of bouil-^labairi^e there have been many peo^^ple who would have liked to know^what he was Hinging about. Many^of them have waited for a trip to^France for enlightenment, but by far^the greater number would probably^bave difficulty in distinguishing real^bouillat^aisse if set before them from^itueh a dish as haggis. Thereis a French restaurant down^town where they make bouillabaisse,^and it is proltably just as good as it^i-t made anywhere. On bouillabaisse^days, which coute two or three times^a week, the dish is put on the bill of^tare in big black type, and you'll be^extremely lucky if you get any if^you are not on hand just when it's^taken from the pot. There are^Frenchmen in this town who go to^that restaurant just for th...
