Arizona Sentinel. SATURDAY. FEBRUARY 7, 1880 COi'XTY BOADS. Some time ago a petition was presented to the Board of Super visor?, asking aid of the county to open a road from Castle Dome Landing to Silver District. The Board employed the services of Geo. W. Norton Esq., Avhose thorough knowledge of this kind of husiness made him a most fit selection. Jie viewed tne pro posed route and made due report, with his estimates of cost, hasing his calculation upon opening a road to permit an eight mule freight-wagon to pass with safety. To perform a piece of work of this character, and perform it well, naturally requires money. The Board after due considera t ion 'determined that it would be adding to our already large in debtedness, without, perhaps, ad equate return. We have no dis position to criticise their judg ment. Since that time, matters have changed very materially. The developments made in the Silver District now warrant road connection with this place. A road should be opened at ...

Arizona Sentinel! SATURDAY, FEBRUARY H 1SS0. A Probable Suit For Taxes. We understand, that at a spe cial session of the Board of Su pervisors of this county, held on the 9th inst., the services of C. W. C. Eowell Esq. were so cured to prosecute the S. P. R-. It. Co., for non-payment, of taxes on their road and equipments. In the fir.-st instance, the acsessment was rendered at certain figures, thereafter, reduced hy the Board ot equalization, a compromise offer made by the company and refused. Then a coalition made by this and other counties, through which the 'road passes, to sue and test the matter. This is about the position of affairs we believe. The District Attorney of this county being: attorney for the company was 'disqualified from acting, hence the selection of Mr. Itowell.
