There lies before us, on our table, three letters from three several states each one addressed to us and each one containing a proposition to locate a manufacturing in terest in Wichita, provided a suitable sub sidy or bonus was given by our city or by individual citizens. Not a week passes that we don't get just such letters, many of -which are the thin nest possible frauds upon their face. We Eeldom refer these letters to the committee of twenty or to anyone else. Our waste bas ket finds them unless they contain a stamp ed envelope for reply. One of the letters b.'fore us is from what purports to be a big bjot and shoe concern; another from a tan ner; and the third from a soap maker.
