By far the greater part of this was absorbed by indi vidual subscribers. On June 29 on ly about $400,000,000 of Liberty Bonds, constituting less than 3 per cent of their assets, were hold by national banks. At the same time the national bank loans on Liberty Bonds were only $457,000,000, or 2Vi per cent of their assets.
