Valuable Receipts cc. Bloody Murrain.—A Cure.—"We have •onverserl with Mr. C. Hays, one of the most reliable farmers, oa the subject of marram in cattle. He has had considerable experience with the disease, and formerly lost a good man of his own cattle, but latterly he has succeed in coring every case, among his. own cattle, and some for others. His mode «f procedure is as follows: Take of white oak bark, newly peeled from the tree, as much as you can easily cn- eomplas with the thumbs and fingers of krth hands. Boil this in one gallon water for a short time; then pour off the water and dissolve in it a lump of alum the size of • hailed walnut, and lump of corperas of the nine .size. With the mixture drench the nek animal, and the cure will soon be effected. In only one instance did he have need of any additional remedy and then to facilitate the opening of bowels, he administered a plate of lard.
