The people of Scurry county have voted to issue 570,000 worth of bonds for the purpose of build- ing a new court house. Stone- wall would do well to emulate this example. What is that old shack on the public square? Surely that isn't your court house? Yes, that's just exactiy what it is. Show us a county in Texas whose people haven't more pride in their pub- lic buildings than Stonewall and we will fold up our tent and quit business. Governor S. \V. T. Lanham, that time honored hero of Texas Democracy, passed to his reward at bis home in Wea^therford on July 29th. There are few men in Texas who stand higher in the estimation and love of our people than did Governor Lanham and bis place will be hard to fill. W....
