t I i K y mr S fl A sight which attracted much attention yesterday afternoon was the bringing into town on foot of a bunch of almost three hundred turkeys The driving and herd- ing of turkeys like horses or cattle is something uncommon in this section of the country but the drove above referred to which was collected in the Kcechi coun- try by W J Fisher was driven a distance of almost fifty miles by two men and in the entire trip only one turkey was lost Mr Fisher sold the entire drove at eight cents per pound to the Wcatherford Produce Company who will kill and dress them and ship to other points In this connection it may be mentioned that the Produce Com- pany have within the past week dressed and sent to El Paso over 800 of these fowls and have a de- mand for far more than they will be able to fill On this mornings train they shipped to one firm alone at El Paso between twenty and thirty barrels of the dressed fowls Wcatherford Herald Congressman Gregg has been made a member of ...
