TOKENS FROM LISTENER. [Newspaper Article] — The Biz — 24 November 1928

TOKENS FROM LISTENER. A sprig of heather and a sprig of yew arrived by last mail from Eng land for Madame Lilian Gibson the ?well known Sydney singer. They were sent by one S. Mason of Toot ing, London, in appreciation of her Singing of "AU Things Come Home at Even-tide." On a recent occasion Madame Gibson was singing from Station 2FC Sydney and the pro gramme was broadcast overseas, picked up in London and relayed. Mr. Mason heard the re-broadcast. The incident emphasises the fact that radio is not only a great factor in bridging distances but tends to cul tivate kindly feelings between people
